A storm's a brewin' on the open seas!

Much like the other versions of the board game, the goal of Unity: Infested Waters is to conquer other players. However, much like the other games, Infested Waters adds many new and unique elements into the game. The addition of multiple types of ships - a brig and a fluyt - provide for some incredibly intense and strategic water battles. And the addition of the plantations provides for a particularly interesting dynamic to the game when it comes to the building up of a player's power.

Game Play

In the main version of the game, a player can play as one of six pirates: "Blackbeard" Edward Thatch, Sir Francis Drake, Bartholomew "Black Bert" Roberts, Anne Bonny, Sir Henry Morgan, and Francois l'Olonnais. Much like in the heroes' game mode of Ancient Greece, each pirate and their domain have certain advantages in comparison to the other players. However, unlike Ancient Greece heroes, both a player's pirate and settlements must be destroyed before the player is removed from the game.
